We just celebrated Canada day! What a privilege it is to live in a country where the gospel of Christ can be freely preached. As God’s people, we encourage you to be ready always and be passionate about standing on guard for this great nation. We will continue where we left off last month and conclude this three-part series. We have been examining how to stand strong in the face of adversity and come out walking in manifested victory. We have also asked the question - from the moment you said ‘amen’ and gave thanks to ‘here is the answer’, what do you do? (click here for the May and June W2NM newsletters).
Last month, we looked at this scripture: Ephesians 6:13 Amplified, “Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]”. What does it mean to do everything that the crisis demands?
The answer? Walk by faith and not by sight. Faith is the key that brings the answer into the physical realm. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). God’s faith which has been given to every believer, will bring the substance of what God has laid up for us and accomplished in Jesus, into physical reality. God has given to each of us, in the spirit, all things that pertain to life and godliness, then faith brings it into the physical realm. A man of God once said, that God has laid up all our answers in eternity. Eternity is in our hearts.
Many times, you don’t know you have answers to your prayer because you can’t perceive it in the physical. We may be in a physical world, but we are dealing with the spiritual realm as well. We must be aware that though we do not see it, but God is connecting the dots. Read 2 Kings 6 where enemy armies came against the prophet Elisha and we hear the famous declaration of the prophet (2 Kings 6:17): “And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”
The secret of walking by faith is to believe something is happening beyond our five senses. Don’t limit your life’s experiences and your testimony of God to only what you can contact through your five physical senses. If you don’t believe it until you see it, you won’t receive it from God; whatever it is. God did not intend for man to live by his five physical senses but rather by the ‘sixth sense’ of faith. Use the sense of the spirit – faith, and ‘see’ what the Lord is working out on your behalf. Faith is the bridge to bring the ‘all things’ that pertain to life and godliness that are laid up for us in the spirit into the natural realm. Faith is how you believe you receive when you pray (Mark 11:24). If you pray and don’t see manifestation immediately, don’t give up. Have you heard about the Chinese Bamboo Tree? The remarkable thing about this tree is that it takes five years for it to emerge from the ground after it is planted. But when it sprouts, it grows rapidly in five weeks to a height of over 80 feet – as long as the tree was well nurtured. You may not see your manifestation and all that is going on behind the scenes, but never withdraw your faith; never dig up your seed. Manifestation time will come as long as you keep watering the seed with the Word of God. Don’t also neglect to give thanks for praise and thanksgiving is the proof of victory. The prayer of faith always ends in thanksgiving. Also, whatever the Holy Spirit requires of you to do, do. Be a prompt doer of the Word.
Enjoy the Summer and until next month, keep on keeping on in Christ.
Yours in His service,
