Welcome to the ReClaimed Women’s Conference 2019 coming up on October 5. As the conference approaches and as I have turned my focus increasingly to the conference, I have also turned inwards to ask myself the same question we will be asking you at the conference:
“ is your life taking you?”
In my personal life and in ministry, I am weighing my choices, my decisions, how I spend my time and how I allocate my resources on the scale of that critical question. It makes me think of the question God asked Adam in the garden of Eden – “where are you?” (Genesis 3:8-9). Where are you my friend? Where is your spiritual location? Where we are in life is always the result of the choices we have made.
There are decisions we are making today, we are electing that will determine the course of our tomorrows. Some of those decisions and choices do not seem to be that sometimes the most innocent choices are the most far-reaching in consequence.
Deuteronomy 30:15-16 says:
15 “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster.
16 For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.
God will not choose for you, but He has not left you without help. He will show you what choice takes you further on the path of life and what choice will take you into the path of death, but He will not choose for you. The scriptures are clear. The secret to making the right choice, the one that leads you in the path of life is to love God and stick to His Word. The love of God will preserve you from the lying-in wait of the enemy. How? Your love for God and His Word will make you a person of His presence; one who is always seeking out fellowship with God and one who is overflowing with the Spirit of God. You will easily discern that which is right and that which is wrong. The Word will also be a compass setting your path and judging the choices before you. No matter how good a thing seems, if it does not line up with the Word of God, it is not a decision that will lead to life. There is no fear in whether your choice will be right or wrong when you walk in the love of God perfect love will cast out fear. Our faith is that you will continue to God with your life and with choices that lead you into His plan for your life.
See you at the ReClaimed Conference and run your course with faith and joy.
Yours in His service,
& the W2NM Team
